Mackenzie Kear began the practice of yoga in 2015 while attending the University of Colorado. She found herself turning to the practice to balance her college lifestyle of late nights, early mornings, exams, business school competition, friend drama, and the early 20's growing pains. Upon graduation in 2017, she felt a deep urge to complete a yoga teacher training. Not conscious of what exactly this desire was telling her, she tapped into her Tapas [fire energy] and dived into a 200-hour teacher training with Y7 Studios in New York City. Here she developed an understanding of yoga as union – the union of all beings, breath & thoughts, mind & body - all moving parts. After completing her training in December 2017, she joined Three Jewels, a non-profit yoga studio in NYC, as a Karma Yogi volunteer. Mackenzie's goal is to guide students through a gently flowing vinyasa class that will leave them feeling ebullient for days to come.
