They say, "The way we do ANYTHING is the way we do EVERYTHING".
This is good news if we are happy and satisfied with the way we do anything, because chances are we will be doing everything in that same way! This is bad news if there is something that we do in our lives that we don't like so much. For example, maybe we aren't very organized. (I'm not naming any names) If this is the case then we probably aren't very organized in our finances, our closets, our thoughts, our desks, and so on. This is good news when we make a positive change in the way we do anything, because that change will positively influence the way we do everything. This is bad news if we are so busy doing, that our doing becomes habitual. When our doing is out of habit, we might not realize that the way we do anything is the same old way we do everything. Paying attention to how you do anything will teach you about how you do everything. If you want to change something in your life, the best way to do so is to pay attention to how you do it. The practice of self awareness will help you to learn what you do and how you do it. You might be suprised that your patterns and habits show up in everything that you do. Having awareness of your tendencies will give you the self knowledge necessary to create the changes that you desire. The best news of all is that making a positive change to ANYTHING in your life has the potential to change EVERYTHING.
