HELLO ELEVATE COMMUNITY,
I hope this finds you healthy and safe in the comfort of your homes.
A little over two weeks ago, we would have never believed that our schools, places of work, favorite restaurants, churches, synagogues, shopping malls, health clubs, and yoga studios would be closed for an
undetermined period of time.
We would have never believed that there would be a deadly virus that would move through the world and our nation like a wildfire, causing minimal damage to some, and irrevocable damage to others.
Living through this type of uncertainty has proven beyond a doubt that the only thing in life that we can be certain about is that LIFE IS UNCERTAIN.
Life can't be controlled or predicted.
You can prepare for the future and learn from the past, but the only moment that is certain is the one that is happening right now.
That one moment, that one breath is all that any of us really have.
Knowing this gives us two choices.
We can freak out about the future, and be angry about the past.
We can be fully present and grateful for what life is giving us right now.
Not now in terms of the corona virus, or the loss of our jobs, or our feelings of security,.... that moment has passed and is beyond our control.
But the actual moment of now.
The now of being fully present for the beauty of a daffodil, the sun on our face, a heartfelt conversation with a friend, or the the soft fur of a pet.
Being present and grateful to the beauty of the moment will get you through the most difficult times.
It is my sincerest hope that we can get back to practicing in the studio soon.
In the meantime, I have begun offering virtual yoga classes and private sessions through zoom.
If you would like to join a zoom classes, please reach out on the contact page.
I am grateful to all of you and appreciate your support.
